🇬🇧 Dr. Malcolm Levinkind
Pediatric Dentist
Dr. Malcolm Levinkind is a specialist pediatric dentist whose multidisciplinary approach to tethered oral tissues integrates laser surgery, infant feeding, oral function, craniofacial growth, and airway development.
Dr Malcolm Levinkind is a Specialist Paediatric Dentist with more than 25 years’ experience in paediatric dental private practice and a longstanding interest in the assessment and management of tethered oral tissues.
He has extensive experience in laser treatment of tongue-tie, lip-tie and related oral restrictions, with particular interests in infant feeding, oral function, craniofacial growth, airway development and whole-body adaptation. His approach is informed by paediatric dentistry, laser surgery, early functional orthopaedic treatment, osteopathic cranio-sacral therapy and advanced chiropractic bodywork training.
Dr Levinkind works within a multidisciplinary framework, collaborating where appropriate with lactation consultants, speech and language therapists, ENT specialists, nutritionists, neurodevelopmental therapists and complementary therapists. He believes tongue-tie assessment should consider function, compensation and context, not anatomy alone.
He is a former Chairman of the International Affiliation of Tongue-tie Practitioners and previously held a Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor-level teaching post in paediatric dentistry. His work focuses on safe, thoughtful and functionally informed care for infants, children and families.
