Our vision:

To foster a creative exchange of knowledge and perspectives on the subject of the lingual frenulum and orofacial health.

The title ‘TongueTime’ sounds creative and inviting, whilst also conveying a playful and relaxed atmosphere in which to address the subject of the tongue in an interesting way. The focus is on the exchange of ideas and information regarding approaches, medical and therapeutic treatments, aids and further training opportunities. At the same time, a sense of community and interactivity is fostered. A catchy title that piques curiosity and encourages participants to find out more about the conference topics.

Dr. Ralf Dornieden and Meike Dornieden, owners of Osteopathie Ostschweiz GmbH, have been working intensively for several years on tongue-tie restrictions and their effects on the human body in patients of all ages. In their day-to-day work as osteopaths, and with their additional IBCLC training, they are repeatedly confronted with a wide variety of symptoms related to this issue.

The more they pursue further training and discuss the subject with other specialist groups, the more evident it becomes just how little is generally known about the issue and how controversially the topic is sometimes debated.

With TongueTime 2026, they have created a platform for exchange: a step towards the future for a better understanding of oral restrictions and their interrelationships.

We would like to contribute to the discussion on the topic of orofacial health, to examine it critically and to raise awareness of it.

Our Advisory Board

TongueTime aims to provide a space for a variety of opinions and perspectives. From our point of view, it is important that the work and opinions presented are of a high standard and, where possible, scientifically sound. To ensure that TongueTime has the broadest possible support, we have established a medical advisory board, which works collectively to safeguard the quality of TongueTime. The Advisory Board meets regularly and, amongst other things, evaluates the abstracts and posters submitted for the conference. The Advisory Board organises itself according to topics and areas of responsibility.
